Mirri, a division of Celloglas will be launching MirriKatz, a new sign and display product at the In-store show 2011 in June. MirriKatz is a joint venture between Mirri and The Katz Group. This new metallic substrate will be available in three large format sizes 1040 x 1550, 1190 x 1350 and 1240 x 1840mm. The product standard weight is 935gsm/1600mic. MirriKatz is laminated both sides with a high quality metallic film and is available in either gold or silver as standard. Bespoke colours and sizes will be available and subject to a minimum order making.

Katz board is manufactured in Germany and is made from wood products that are sustainably sourced. The MirriKatz board is naturally lightweight, which is ideal for use in the sign and display market.

Richard Gillgrass Managing Director of Celloglas commented, “ The MirriKatz board is a metallic, ready to use sign and display board that is designed with ease of use in mind. Our clients often mount Mirri to a display board for use in point of sale campaigns and in a lot of cases a ready to use board like MirriKatz would be more convenient for them”.

Richard added “ The MirriKatz board can be screen printed, or digitally printed on a number of UV digital flatbed machines. The MirriKatz board can be used to make hanging signs or displays. Another option would be to die cut shapes out of the board to make stars or other seasonal shapes and use them as part of window displays or other in-store promotions”.

Garry added “The Katz board is already widely used as hanging display in the point sale market. It has been a natural replacement for Foamex given its green credential and its ability to hang “bend free”, in 2010 The Katz Group sold one million euros of this display board to the POS sector alone”.
